The GCMA is consulting on a series of documents in relation to its investigation procedures, mergers, cartels and penalties.

Public Consultation CP01/25 deals with several guidelines and policy statements which the GCMA intends to publish.

These are:

(a) Investigation Procedures;

(b) Interim Measures in Merger Investigations;

(c) Applications for Leniency in Cartel Cases;

(d) Cartel Prosecution Guidance;

(e) Administrative Penalties.

The consultation shall remain open until Friday 28th February 2025.

The GCMA is consulting on a series of documents in relation to the Chapter 1 Prohibition (agreements between undertakings), the Chapter 2 Prohibition (abuse of dominance), mergers and market investigations.

Public Consultation CP02/24 deals with several guidelines and policy statements which the GCMA intends to publish.

These are:

(a) The Chapter 1 Prohibition;

(b) The Chapter 2 Prohibition;

(c) Merger Assessment Guidelines;

(d) Merger Remedies Notice;

(e) Market Investigation References;

(f) Merger and Market Remedies – Reporting, Investigation and Enforcement of potential breaches; and

(g) Merger and Market Remedies – Variation and Termination of Merger and Market final undertakings and orders.

The consultation shall remain open until Friday 29th March 2024.
