Under the Broadcasting Act 2012, the GRA is only responsible for regulating media service providers which are based in Gibraltar. These service providers can offer TV, radio and on-demand services. The GRA does not regulate any media content that originates from the internet. That is why it’s important to become media literate.

One of our key objectives is to ensure children and young people are safe and savvy online, including increasing their skills and confidence to critically navigate the news and spot misinformation.

This can be achieved by educating children and young people on media literacy and you don’t need to do it alone.

We are calling on all parents, carers, educationalists, and broadcasters, to check out and make use of our resources below, which can be used and shared freely.  We will endeavour to constantly update and expand our information and guidance to ensure that we keep pace with the constantly changing digital world we live in.
